vestrovia.online is a small independent publication about consumer software, operated by Black Shark s.r.o. from Kaprova 42/14, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic. It exists to answer one narrow question well: when a piece of consumer software is advertised to you, what is actually in it, and what should you check before paying?
What we publish
Long-form buyer’s guides to individual products, written to be read once and acted on. Each guide explains the mechanism behind a product category, maps the boundary between the tier being advertised and the tiers above it, names its sources, and lists the contract terms worth reading before subscribing. We would rather publish one article that survives scrutiny than a catalogue of thin ones.
Who we are
The site is published by Black Shark s.r.o., a limited liability company registered in the Czech Republic under number 07666985. Editorial responsibility sits with Thomas Cooper, the director of publication and responsible editor, who signs the articles and handles corrections. How we are paid, stated plainly
Advertising, specifically affiliate commission. If you follow a link marked “partner link” and subscribe, the vendor pays Black Shark s.r.o. a commission; your price is unchanged. We also buy advertising to bring readers here. This means a commercial interest sits behind every article, and we think the only honest response is to disclose it at the top of every page, describe it in full on the affiliate disclosure page, and write the product’s limitations as clearly as its strengths.
What makes this site unusual
- It collects nothing. No cookies, no analytics, no pixels, no third-party requests at all. We cannot tell you how many people read this page, because we chose not to be able to. The cookie policy shows you how to verify it in your browser.
- It invents nothing. No star ratings, no reader testimonials, no fabricated statistics, no countdown timers. The editorial policy lists what we refuse to do and is meant to be used against us.
- It defers to the vendor on facts about the product. Features and prices change; where our page and the vendor’s page disagree, the vendor is right and we are out of date.
- Its illustrations are its own. Every diagram is an original drawing made for this site. We use no product screenshots, no stock photography and no third-party logos.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any company we write about, including Gen Digital Inc., the owner of the Norton brand. Advertisers do not see articles before publication and have no right of review. Product names are used for identification and commentary only.
